PerfectHairColor Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
This policy explains how PerfectHairColor (the "App"), operated by Sato Apps (Japan), handles information. By using the App you agree to it.
Information we handle
- Photos. Photos you take with the camera or choose from your photo library. Faces are detected on your device, and the hair colors are applied on your device.
- Face image for hair detection. After you choose which face to edit, that face cropped from your photo (resized to at most 512 px) is sent to our server so that it can find the hair area. Other parts of the photo are not sent.
- Results. The edited image stays on your device unless you save it to your photo library or share it.
- Usage and device data. App version, operating system, device model, events such as the colors you try, saving, sharing and viewing the purchase screen, crash and performance data, and a random app user ID created by the App (it is not linked to your name or email address).
- Purchase data. Purchased products, subscription status and transaction information. We do not receive your card number.
- Advertising data. Advertising identifier, approximate location and ad interaction and diagnostic data handled by Google AdMob (see "Ads and tracking choices").
- Support information. What you send us by email or through the support form.
- On this website, we count clicks on the download buttons in a way that does not identify you (no cookies are used).
How we use it
- To provide the hair color preview and its editing tools.
- To show ads in the free version and to manage Premium access and purchases.
- To understand how the App is used, fix crashes and improve quality.
- To prevent abuse, review quality and answer your inquiries.
Who receives information
Providers handle data under their own policies.
- Our server (Google Cloud) and AI image processing. The server receives the face image and uses Runware to process it. Copies of the submitted image, the detected hair mask and the processed image may be saved in Cloudflare R2 storage for quality review and troubleshooting. We use Sentry to monitor server errors.
- Google. Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring; AdMob for ads, including Google's consent message; Google Forms for the support form.
- RevenueCat. Purchase status and Premium access (its servers, including its backup domain api.rc-backup.com). On iOS the App also passes the Apple Search Ads attribution token to RevenueCat.
- Apple and Google Play. Payments for purchases (Apple, Google).
Photos and faces
Photos that show faces are processed to find the hair area. We do not use face images to identify or authenticate anyone. Please use photos of people who have agreed to it.
Ads and tracking choices
The free version shows ads (banner, full-screen and app-open) from Google AdMob. Premium removes ads.
On iOS the App asks for permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency; you can change it in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), Google's consent message lets you choose, and the App does not request ads until ad requests are allowed. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings > Google > Ads.
Retention and deletion
Data on your device stays until you delete the App or its data. Copies saved on our server for quality review are kept as long as needed for that purpose or until you ask us to delete them. To request deletion, follow Data deletion. Providers keep their own records under their policies.
Children
PerfectHairColor is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided some, contact us and we will delete it.
